About Brook House B&B
Brook House in Kaikōura is a centrally located B&B with multiple accommodation options for everyone from solo travellers to groups.
Brook House is ideally situated down a long driveway off State Highway 1, just 2km north of Kaikōura town centre and convenient to all main visitor attractions.

In the main house, we have five rooms that offer different options. Some have ensuite bathrooms, and 1 room has a shared bathroom. The two cottages are fully self-contained.
Brook House is a true homestay, where you share the host’s home, including the kitchen/dining room, and lounge.
Brook House is a traditional bed and breakfast and also a self-contained stay. It just depends on whether you book into the house or one of the self-contained cottages.

Brook House is close to Kaikōura’s beaches and wildlife viewing spots. Beach access is 500 metres, the whale watching base is nearby, and there are eels in the garden stream, and cows on a farm just over the fence.
Kaikōura train station and bus stops are 2km away. However, we will pick you up and drop you off at the stops if you let us know in advance when you’ll be arriving.
Our driveway is on SH1, so that means Brook House could not be more perfectly located for road-trippers travelling on SH1.

We serve a continental breakfast to guests in the B&B. Cottage guests either make their own or go out for breakfast to one of Kaikoura’s selection of cafes.
Breakfast is usually served between 8 am and 10 am. Please let us know if you have an early start, and we’ll make sure you have something to eat before you leave.
Yes, we can cater for gluten-free and vegetarian guests. Please just let us know in advance so we can be sure to have something delicious for you.
No, as they have their own kitchen, we don’t offer breakfast to cottage guests.

There are no particular pet restrictions, but please check before you book to make sure a suitable room is available.
Unfortunately, our property doesn’t provide wheelchair access. We have a disabled bathroom, but all the rooms in the B&B are on the second floor, and the cottages have steps up to their front door.
Booking, Check-In & Policies
You can either book with us directly or use any of the main booking platforms such as booking.com.
Our check-in is at 3pm and check out is 10am.
Early check-in or late check-out depends on our other bookings for the room you have. However, you’re welcome to drop off your luggage if you arrive before check-in time.
